One of our favorite wedding trends for 2027 is the move toward celebrations that feel completely unique to the couple. Instead of choosing every detail based on what’s currently popular, couples are finding creative ways to incorporate their personalities, relationships, families, and favorite things throughout the day.
This could be signature cocktails inspired by your first date, handwritten notes at each place setting, a late night snack from your favorite restaurant, family photos displayed at the reception, or a ceremony reading that holds special meaning.
Even the smallest details can tell part of your story. Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a large Indianapolis wedding, your day doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s. That’s exactly what makes it memorable.

2. Romantic, Garden Inspired Florals
Romantic, garden inspired florals are another 2027 wedding trend we’re loving. Florals are becoming softer, more organic, and a little less structured, with designs that incorporate movement, texture, greenery, and flowers at different heights.
Think florals growing alongside the ceremony aisle, overflowing centerpieces, greenery woven throughout reception spaces, and statement installations that look as though they naturally belong in the venue.
Couples are also becoming more intentional about where they use flowers. Rather than placing arrangements everywhere, choosing a few high impact floral moments can completely transform a space. Ceremony backdrops, head tables, entrances, and reception focal points are all opportunities to incorporate florals in a way that complements the overall wedding vision.

You don’t have to have matching bridesmaid dresses. You don’t have to do a bouquet toss. You can have a private first look, wear a second dress, skip a traditional wedding cake, change the order of your reception, or keep your wedding party small.
Traditions can be incredibly meaningful, but only when they actually mean something to you.
Instead of starting with a checklist of everything a wedding is supposed to include, think about how you want your wedding day to feel. From there, you can create a celebration that incorporates the traditions you love while leaving behind the ones that don't feel like you.
